Dancing Sheep Coffee Co was locally founded in Gilbert, Arizona by Tim Simanton. Looking for a better cup of coffee, I began surfing the web looking for someone to supply better coffee.  During my search, I stumbled upon some articles about roasting at home and thought, “this sounds like fun!” I researched different roasters and started with a small air-type roaster in 2004. As time went along I acquired another small roaster and was encouraged to start sharing my coffee with others. After several boutiques, and more encouragement, I purchased a Diedrich drum roaster, which has become the backbone of the business.

I determined that this was not going to be just another coffee business, but a ministry. I have found many organizations that are always looking for a way to raise funds to help support research, programs, and betterment of the community, both locally and globally. I thought, “hey, what about coffee? Just about everyone likes a coffee drink of one kind or another, and if they can support a ministry at the same time, it is a win-win situation.”

When some friends of ours had children who were diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, I asked if they would be interested in creating a blend whose proceeds would benefit the research of Cystic Fibrosis. They were excited at the opportunity and, after several attempts, we came up with the ABC Blend.

I strive to source my coffee from fair trade and organic sources, not only for you the customer, but also for the farmers that work so hard to produce these coffees for us. As you help our mission grow, we grow together.
